The Britain Project is a series of images that highlight the changes made to the British landscape as a result of mans economic and political interaction.
The intention of the images is to show how landscapes increasingly bear the artefacts of culture and development, and the amount of nature that is free from discernible human influence has diminished.
None of the fragmented photographs are my own, with the constructed pieces becoming indicative of the process of human intervention within the natural landscape.
Using unwanted and discarded images and photographs from old books, these images are collages created by hand. Digital techniques are only used for reproductive purposes.
